Some of you may know that my 991.2 GT3 RS is no longer with me.
Owning a GT3 RS had been my collection goal for over a decade now, but it was realized just recently after a few close encounters over the years. I had the 991.2 GT3 RS for just over 12 months, covering some 3,000km. It’s easily the sharpest car I’ve ever driven, and possibly the most responsive whether it’s the gearbox, powertrain, or steering input. In fact, it’s so sharply honed that it’s best appreciated on track or when driven eight tenth or more. Anything less and one could be fooled that this is just an average 911 aside from the firm ride.
I decided to let the GT3 RS go after having driven my 991 GT3 Touring for five consecutive days in the mountains. The key difference is that the Touring engages the driver in all levels more of the time.
So the RS has moved on, and I wish its new owner plenty of joy and good memories with the car. It’s such a finely honed instrument.
A big thank you to our local Porsche Center, AAS, who assisted me through all the steps from purchasing and selling the GT3 RS.
I’m going to miss THAT wing!
