This 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is #461 of 500 examples produced and is said to have remained in the original owner’s family before the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2021. Power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, and the car is finished in GT Silver Metallic over a black leather and red Alcantara interior. Features include 19″ center-lock wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, carbon-fiber front fenders, clear taillights, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Adaptive Sport Seats, and PCM with navigation. Service in Febuary 2022 included the replacement of the battery, topping off fluids, and performing an oil change. This 997 GT2 RS has 2,500 miles and is now offered by the selling dealer in Texas at no reserve with a set of unmounted Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, a DME report, service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Indiana title.
The 997.2 GT2 RS was based on the contemporary 911 GT3 chassis and benefited from weight-saving components including a carbon-fiber hood, side intakes, and trim as well as aluminum door skins and a front hood decal in place of the standard badge. This example is finished in GT Silver Metallic and is equipped with optional carbon-fiber fenders, lightweight xenon headlights, clear taillights, and dual titanium exhaust outlets. Paint meter readings are provided in the gallery below.
Center-lock 19″ wheels wear 245/35 front and 325/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup + tires showing 2010 date codes. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) were standard equipment on the GT2 RS.
The cockpit features Adaptive Sport Seats upholstered in black leather with red Alcantara inserts, matching stitching, and embossed headrests. The GT2 RS omitted the rear seats in favor of lightweight carpets, and carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin. Amenities include PCM with navigation, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Sound Package Plus, and a fire extinguisher mounted in the driver’s footwell.
A serialized plaque mounted on the glovebox door indicates this car as #461 of 500 built.
Black and red Alcantara trim can also be found on the thick-rimmed steering wheel and gear shifter as shown above. Instrumentation consists of a central GT3RS-branded tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 2,500 miles.
The 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six is equipped with twin variable-geometry turbochargers and was factory rated at 620 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Work performed in February 2022 by Porsche of Grapevine, Texas, included replacing the battery, topping off fluids, and performing an oil change. A DME report is provided in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle with a locking differential and an oil cooling system. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.
An unmounted set of 19″ Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 245/35 and 325/30 are included in the sale along with two keys, service records, and manufacturer’s literature stored in a black leather folio.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Arizona and Indiana. A Manufacturer Voluntary Service Action pertaining to the maintenance intervals of the center-lock hubs was issued in March 2013.
