Just 130 RS cars were sold new in the US, and all featured a carbon-fiber hood, side intakes, and trim, titanium exhaust outlets, aluminum door skins, and a front hood decal in place of the standard badge. This example is finished in Carrara White (B4) and is equipped with optional carbon-fiber front fenders. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights, clear taillights, and dual exhaust outlets. The selling dealer states an additional new OEM front lip is included in the sale.
Center-lock 19″ wheels are finished in black and wear 245/35 front and 325/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) were standard equipment on the GT2 RS. The selling dealer notes that the tire pressure sensors are in need of replacement.
Carbon-fiber sport bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with red Alcantara inserts and embossed headrests. Additional equipment includes Guards Red stitching, seatbelts, and door pulls, an auto-dimming mirror, PCM with navigation, the Sound Package Plus, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, XM radio, a Universal Audio Interface, and branded floor mats.
A badge on the glovebox door identifies this car as #253 of 500.
The red and black thick-rimmed steering wheel fronts a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. The digital odometer indicates approximately 160 miles.
The 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six features twin variable-geometry turbochargers and was factory rated at 620 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle with a locking differential and oil cooling system.
