This 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet slant nose is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Under previous ownership the car was refinished in red over black leather, and it is equipped with a black soft top and boot cover. Other features include staggered 16″ Fuchs wheels, disc brakes, pop-up headlights, a front lip, quarter strakes, a tea tray rear spoiler, front sport seats, VDO gauges, air conditioning, and an Alpine CD player. The engine was overhauled in 2018, and service since then has included replacing the rear tires, dampers, and suspension bushings as well as engine gaskets, filters, mounts, and oil-feed lines. Now showing 39k miles, this 911 Turbo Slantnose is offered on dealer consignment in California with service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

Distinguishing features of the flachbau include pop-up headlights, vented front fenders, and quarter-panel strakes, and the car is also equipped with a front lip, fog lights, and a tea tray rear spoiler. This example was refinished in red under previous ownership and is equipped with a manually operated black soft top and matching boot cover. The selling dealer notes that the quarter strakes are constructed from wood. The paint has stone ships in the forward-facing surfaces, the front lip is scuffed, the top shows signs of use, and the plastic rear window has discolored.

Chrome-finished 16″ Fuchs wheels with red accents measure 7″ wide up front and 9″ out back. They are mounted with 225/50 Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires up front and 245/45 Toyo Proxes R888R tires out back, the latter of which were replaced in 2018. Additional work at that time included refreshing the suspension with Bilstein B8 front dampers, Bilstein B6 rear dampers, EP Racing front control-arm bushings, and replacement rear-trailing arm bushings. Turbo models received four-piston brake calipers front and rear.

The interior features power-adjustable front sport seats in black leather, and the dashboard has been recovered. Appointments include Turbo-script floor mats, an Alpine CD player, and air conditioning, the latter of which was most recently recharged with R12 refrigerant in 2019. The selling dealer notes wear in the driver’s left-side seat bolsters, a sag in the left armrest, and imperfections in the dash cover.

The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset boost-pressure gauge, 170-mph speedometer, combination gauges, and an analog clock. The six-digit odometer shows 39k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the current owner.

The turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter M930/68 flat-six was rated at 282 horsepower when new. The selling dealer believes the case is a replacement component. In 2017 the CDI box and fuel injectors were replaced, and in 2018 the head gaskets, timing-chain housing gasket, timing cover gaskets, and other leaking gaskets and hoses were replaced along with the fuel filter, oil-feed lines, the oil cooler, the engine mounts, and an intake valve.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. In 2017 the transmission fluid was flushed and the axle boots were replaced. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists activity in California, Kansas, Florida, Oregon,  Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. The report also indicates that the car was stolen in November 1990 and was recovered the following month.
