This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera S coupe is finished in Arctic Silver over black leather and is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six mated to a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 18″ hollow-spoke Technology wheels, a power sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, while modifications consist of TechArt aero components and pedals as well as a Kenwood head unit and Bilstein coilovers. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer, and work performed in September 2021 included flushing the brake fluid and changing the engine oil and filter. Now showing 56k miles, this 993 is offered by the selling dealer in California with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title.
The 993 C2S featured wider bodywork along with revised bumper covers and side skirts in comparison with the contemporary Carrera. This example is finished in Arctic Silver (L92U), and modifications include a TechArt front bumper and rear decklid. The selling dealer notes paintwork on the fenders and quarter panels.
Silver-finished 18″ hollow-spoke Technology wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. The suspension has been modified with installation of Bilstein coilovers, and stopping power is from silver-finished calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The cabin features black leather upholstery as well as matching dashboard, center console, and door panels with silver inserts. The driver’s seat is eight-way power-adjustable, and additional equipment includes a power sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, a Kenwood head unit, and TechArt pedals.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, a quartz clock, and combination gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles.
The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six features a VarioRam induction system and produced 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque when new. The starter was replaced in 2019, and the oil and filter were changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional underbody photographs are provided in the gallery below.
