This 1980 Porsche 911SC is a white-over-black Targa that is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a removable roof panel, front fog lights, 16″ Fuchs wheels, power windows, a JVC cassette stereo, an aftermarket exhaust system, and front and rear spoilers. The car was purchased by the seller in May 2020, and a subsequent overhaul of the engine included replacement of a camshaft and the head studs, pistons, cylinders, rockers, oil lines, and gaskets. 2021 service included an oil change and replacement of the transmission fluid and a gearbox seal. This 911 Targa is now offered with recent invoices and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in white and paired with a black removable roof panel and Targa bar, and features include a chin spoiler, Bosch H4 headlights, front fog lights, amber rear corner lights, a ‘whale tale’ rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Fuchs 16″ wheels with black centers and anodized lips are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Firestone Firehawk tires. During prior ownership the rear brake calipers were rebuilt and the master cylinder and brake hoses were replaced.

Black upholstery covers the seats and matching door panels, and equipment includes power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, a locking glovebox, and a JVC cassette stereo. The seller notes that air-conditioning components and parts of the heat exchangers were removed during prior ownership, and the door panel pockets have been removed and are included in the sale.

The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 108k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer, odometer, oil temperature and level gauge, and clock were repaired in August 2020, and total mileage is unknown.

The air-cooled 3.0L flat-six is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and an MSD ignition system, and during prior ownership the air box pop-off valve, chain tensioners, air filter housing, fuel injectors, and ignition control module were replaced. Service in August 2020 included disassembly of the motor and replacement of a camshaft as well as the head studs, pistons, piston rings, cylinders, valve seals, rocker arms, gaskets, and oil return tubes and hoses, and gaskets. An oil change was performed and the mixture was adjusted in August 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle, which was serviced in 2021 with a replacement seal and fluid. The car is equipped with an aftermarket exhaust system.
