This 1970 Porsche 911S was acquired by the current owner approximately two decades ago and is finished in yellow over a black interior. Power is supplied by a 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a 901 five-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette stereo, H4 headlights, Hella front fog lamps, front sport seats, four-wheel disc brakes, and 15×7″ Fuchs wheels. Work in 2019 consisted of rebuilding the MFI pump, performing a valve adjustment, and replacing the rocker shaft seals and valve cover gaskets. This 911S is being offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a tool kit, and a clean Florida title.
Finished from the factory in Light Yellow (62), the car was reportedly repainted some time ago. Features include Euro-spec taillights, front turn signal lenses, and H4 headlights, along with body-color front and rear bumpers, chrome front and rear bumperettes, Hella fog lamps, gold-finished rear badging, enamel badges on the rear decklid grille, and bright window trim. Various imperfections are pointed out by the seller in the gallery below. The gaskets and weatherstripping were replaced in 2012 by German Tech of Largo, Florida.
The 15×7” Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted with 205/55 BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. Braking is through four-wheel discs with aluminum calipers and ventilated rotors.
The cabin houses replacement bolstered sport seats trimmed in black leather, along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, carpets, and leatherette rear seats. A Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette radio is housed in the dash. The headliner was replaced in 2012.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 61k miles, around 400 of which have been added during current ownership. The clock is inoperable.
The 2.2-liter flat-six features Bosch mechanical fuel injection and produced 180 horsepower at 6,500 rpm when new. The engine sheet metal was repainted in 2012, and work in 2019 included a rebuild of the MFI pump, a valve adjustment, and replacement of the rocker shaft seals and valve cover gaskets. Features reportedly include oil-fed Carrera-spec chain tensioners, a Dansk sport muffler, and SSI heat exchangers.
The engine stamping is shown above.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 901 five-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
